Matisse Software Beats Estimate by 50% on Revenue

Mountain View, CA - October 17, 2005 – Experiencing continuing momentum, Matisse Software today announces that revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 were 34% above results for the same period last year beating its own forecast by about 50%. Adoption of Matisse’s flagship Post-Relational SQL database software, Matisse 7, continued at a brisk pace.

“We are exceeding our plan objectives for FY 2005 and are continuing to enhance our financial position,” said Didier Cabannes, CEO of Matisse Software, “we are very pleased with these results which will fuel our growth for the quarters to come.”

Matisse is experiencing significant growth with .NET developers, not only in the domestic market but internationally as well. By strategically aligning with Microsoft .NET framework initiatives, coupled with its own Data Access Services enhancement, Matisse has quickly been recognized by .NET developers as "The Ultimate Database for .NET". Matisse Software has emerged as the database vendor that is able to provide .NET architects and developers with a powerful environment to implement enterprise-class solutions. The Matisse DBMS platform powers a wide range of applications ranging from web site deployment to enterprise business applications to vertical applications supplied by ASPs.

“Our customers tell us that they greatly appreciate the ease of deployment and short time to market afforded by our innovative database solution for the Microsoft .NET Framework, as well as the exceptional level of responsiveness that our technical support team is providing them with” continued Didier Cabannes.

Matisse Software is rapidly emerging as a leader in a new segment of the database management system market: data management for complex business process and rich data. Matisse Software has pushed the envelope of SQL programming and morphed it into a powerful language to operate on semantic networks of information instead of only manipulating two-dimensional tables. Matisse Software’s flagship product, Matisse 7, puts it in a strong position to solve database and data management issues companies face when developing new applications and services for drug discovery, business analytics or financial modeling. While Matisse Software has achieved early traction in several industry segments, it is experiencing significant growth in the Life Sciences market.
